Eurotrip day 4 - Fussen , Neuschwanstein Castle , Hohenschwangau castle

And here we are to the 4 day of our amazing experience called EURO TRIP!
I don`t have enough words to explain the feelings when I remember about this trip and even now when I am writing  it makes me a little sad because I want sooo bad to do it one more time , the exact same .

But enough about that let`s start the adventures of day four!  ;)

We woke up about 8 in the morning and hit the road for Fussen.

Here are some pictures of the road , I know there isn`t anything special but it is beautiful , isn`t it?

And this is Neuschwanstein castle , the castle that inspired Walt Disney castle pretty majestic when you see it

The name of the castle translated literaly means "High Swan Country Palace"

The enterence !

The court

This is the second castle in the area named  Hohenschwangau castle

In the area of Fussen there are 3 castles, but the most popular one is Neuschwanstein of course.
Important tip! Be sure to have enough time planned here since there are a lot of people and the line for tickets is hundreds of people. We tried to take tickets for inside the castle and we were waiting about 40 min only to understand that the first possible time that we can go inside is after two hours , which we couldn`t to because we had other sightseeing planned for the day. The inside of the castles is only available in tour groups.

There are sooo manu souvenirs shops where you can find almost everything – puzzles, paintings, glasses, everything for your collection of trip souvenirs!  We bought many magnets , of course !

As in Salzburg there are two ways to reach the main castles. By food – of course, or with busses.

I lied , there is one more way - horse-drawn carriages from the town that can take you to the castle.

Here  is a link to the castle web site where you can learn about the history of the castle and some useful information.

Our plan was to spent only an hour or two to the castle but of course we couldn`t resist to the magnificent castles just take a picture and leave so for Meersburg we didn`t have enough time and we just took some photos and run to catch the hotel check-in time. And to be more specific our hotel was in Grafenhausen.  Ahhh what a lovely place. The hotel was called Pension Kramer and was very very nice.

And this is a view from our room`s bedroom .

So this is it for the day, about the 5th day of our trip there was one special event which was including ring but for this next time

Hey readers I have some questions for you!

How do you like the post?

Have you ever been to Fussen ?

Where are you planning to spend your honeymoon?

If you have any questions I would love to answer them!

Have a wonderful week everybody,

Euro trip day 3 - Hallstatt , Salzburg ! Can this be your honeymoon ?

I will continue with day 3 of our Euro trip that I think it will be a great honeymoon.

After Uttendorf we took the road for Hallstatt . Our plan was to take a quick walk around the village and go to catch one train that is going around the Alps for one hour but we liked the village so much that we`ve decide to stay longer.

Honestly speaking it is wonderful place.
We often discussed the euro trip when we see each other and everyone agrees that Hallstatt is one of the top places we`ve been.

I am posting some pictures that we took during the road because they are pretty amazing , sorry for the dirty spot , we didn`t noticed until we came back from the trip and sow the pictures .

And here we come Hallstatt. The village name comes from salt.

I really liked the camera !!

Isn`t it amazing ?

By the way you can buy salt from Hallstatt almost everywhere in the village!

Hallstatt is known for its production of salt, which dates back to prehistoric times such as 2nd millennium BC.

We had lunch in a restaurant right by the lake. It was wonderful. OH and the food......

The parking lot !

After the pleasant afternoon we hit the road to see the birth place of Mozart.

Salzburg!

Such a beautiful place, so much history, so preserved!

Hohensalzburg Castle

There are two ways to get up there. The first is by food ... which I can tell you was a little bit tiring for me but in the end very satisfying. And the second and easier way is just to take the funicular which lands you right inside the castle but honestly it deserves to walk that hill!

Here is a link for some helpful information.

View from the castle of Salzburg.

The castle is like a small town itself, there are stables, schools, church.

While we were walking around the castles we noticed some people dressed strange, and by strange I mean wearing medieval clothes , we were wondering what is happening but after that we sow the small stage and then realize that there was a theater for the visitors. How wonderful!

We enjoyed an Austrian beer in one of the restaurants in the castle with a great view.

Ahhh, I was going to forget to tell you if you are going to buy chocolates DON`T buy from the first shop that you see because as further you go as more cheaper they get! We`ve made that mistake.

Instead of having dinner in a restaurant we decided to try from the famous Austrian sausages ... well ... I will always remember them, I can recommend you the one with the cheese inside, I can`t remember the name but it is delicious! Desert – the most tasty coconut ice cream that i have ever tried.

Hey readers I have some questions for you!

Eurotrip day 2, part 2 :))

I will continue where I stopped the last time... I am sorry for the delay but I had problems with the internet connections, hope you will forgive me

This is Laggo di Carezza !!!!

Doesn’t matter how many pictures of it you going to see, you just have to go there to feel the magic that this place have. It`s amazing!

The colors that you can see in the waters are breathtaking, and the whole view combined it`s just great – trees, water and majestic mountains...

When we first started the trip I knew that we will visit some great places, I knew some of them from internet, I sow pictures, read information and all the things that you do to prepare yourself for such a trip, but I never saw that one coming...  I didn`t thought that there is a place like this in the world that actually I would go and visit.

You expect to see such beauty and majestic colors in some hidden secret place in countries where it is not very possible to visit, but in Italy, and never heard of it?   Well, we cannot always know everything and every place but still ... it was a surprise.

The lake is also know like the Rainbow lake, there are many different believes about that place.

The lake is high in the mountain and we «escaped» from our road with totally about 60 km (30 going and 30 back) but it deserved every minute wondering if we are going to the right place, because the road is with a lot of turns and at some point you are thinking that you are going nowhere.
Surprisingly for us there was a huge parking right next to the lake and when you park your car from the one side of the there is a tunnel that leads to the lake.

IT IS A FAIRY TALE LAKE, that is all I have to say.

And when you feel that you had enough magic for the day and decide to leave there is a souvenir shop where you can buy all kinds of things to remind you of the place.

After that we continued for our hotel in Uttendorf. We pass thru National park Hohe Tauern.  So let me tell you this, there may be much more easy roads from this but do not miss it!!! We sow so many lakes, so many green and sky and the air it is just like ...fresh! Yes, this is the word !

The road pass thru some small villages which were pretty beautiful but we didn’t had time to stop...

There is a place, just before the border with Austria where the road is one way, but everything is pretty organized, and this is the sign to proove you that! And yes, the road is open for us just in that time limit.

And this is the border! Only a sign , nothing else ...

This lake we noticed on the road for Uttendorf. It was pretty cool

I was wondering how to describe the color and ... is there such thing like perfect green? Well I think this one is perfect green, all the way!

In Uttendorf we stayed at Casa Montana , I strongly recommend this place. The hotel is owned by two adorable sisters from Holland and they have the most amazing dog in the world. The hotel was B&B; the rooms were small but very very clean and cozy.  And one big advantage for me it is pet friendlyJ))

View from the balcony in the morning ... let say it was the best coffee expirience I ever had in my life !

The hotel is not actually inside Uttendorf , it is in a very small village next to it so everything is closing pretty early and the hotel doesn’t have restaurant so be sure to have something  prepared for dinner.

After the breakfast we said goodbye to the lovely hotel owners and hit the road again.

So this is for now, next week is Hallstad ...
 Have a wonderful week!!
